Job summary

Union Technologies, based in Dallas, TX, is building secure, scalable DevOps foundations for a sovereign manufacturing ecosystem. As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, automate, and operate high‑availability infrastructure that meets CMMC Level 2 and ITAR standards, supporting on‑prem and cloud deployments.

You will collaborate with software, QA, and security teams to harden systems, implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous monitoring, while maintaining compliance and rapid, auditable

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands‑on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Kubernetes clusters and containerized apps in production.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Linux admin, Bash/Python scripting, and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform).
• Security hardening on Linux and containers (STIG, FIPS, CIS).
• Familiarity with CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, or ITAR compliance.
• Troubleshooting complex build/deploy pipelines.
• Excellent documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters (on‑prem and cloud).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code with Ansible, Helm, and other tools.
• Secure containers and clusters with hardened baselines and continuous compliance scans.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting across infrastructure.
• Automate image builds and vulnerability scanning per CMMC/ITAR controls.
• Manage configuration drift, access control, and audit trails per NIST 800‑171/CMMC2.
• Collaborate with software, QA, and security to embed DevSecOps in the SDLC.
• Optimize builds for reliability, reproducibility, and speed in regulated environments.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response.
