Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Datacenter Engineer for a leading technology and cybersecurity organization located in Research Triangle Park, NC. The role is onsite five days a week in a SCIF environment supporting secure government-focused infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have a strong network/systems background, experience with VMware vSphere and Windows environments, and an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance. DoD 8570 certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
• Strong network and systems engineering background in secure environments.
• Hands-on with VMware vSphere, Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, AD, DNS, DHCP, and vulnerability remediation.
• DoD 8570 certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE, SCNA, or SCNP.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and support mission-essential networks and computing environments within secure datacenter infrastructures.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, AD, and Windows Server environments.
• Administer VMware vSphere virtualization, Windows/Linux systems, and enterprise services (web, email, database).
• Assist with NISPOM/ICD compliance, accreditation activities, SSPs, and POA&M documentation.
