Job summary

TENAX Technologies is seeking a Software Developer to support mission-critical DoD and IC programs in Washington, DC. You will build secure, scalable enterprise applications using Java and Python, develop RESTful services, and enhance front-end interfaces.

You will design and optimize databases, integrate with enterprise systems, and support DevSecOps pipelines while adhering to RMF and cybersecurity requirements. On-site role with opportunities to work across Cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI access.
• Must possess and maintain a current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or Level III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, CND, GSEC, CASP+).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Python.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and database-driven applications.
• Experience with source control systems, automated testing, and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java and Python.
• Develop secure back-end services, APIs, and microservices with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful architectures.
• Build and enhance web-based user interfaces and front-end applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL).
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, cloud services, and data sources.
• Support deployments through DevSecOps pipelines with automated testing and security scanning.
• Implement secure coding practices and RMF/compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot performance issues across dev, test, prod.
• Support system modernization, tech refresh, and cloud migrations.
• Participate in Agile sprints, code reviews, and release management.
• Create and maintain architecture docs, API docs, and deployment procedures.
