Job summary

Network Rail is hiring a supervisor to oversee worksites, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of maintenance tasks. The role emphasizes adherence to standards, asset condition checks and effective resource planning.

You will support development of work plans and supervise staff to uphold quality and safety across rail assets. The ideal candidate has experience directing teams, knowledge of rail testing and lubrication inspection, and the ability to communicate clearly in writing.

Qualifications

• Experience directing and supervising worksites.
• Knowledge of resource and work organisation/planning processes.
• Knowledge and experience of rail testing & lubrication inspection, maintenance, renewal and asset condition assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions.
• Awareness of cost and waste control techniques.
• Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and check the quality of work delivered and confirm assets are compliant to standards.
• Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures and method statements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake inspections in accordance with standards as directed.
• Prepare work and resource specifications including Safe System of Work Plans.
• Deliver work in accordance with the relevant maintenance plans.
