Job summary

SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC) seeks a Sections Financial Coordinator to provide accounting support to SAE sections and affiliated activities. You will handle transactional accounting, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting support, and compliance in collaboration with section leadership and volunteer treasurers.

You will participate in monthly close, assist with forecasts, and help ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records across sections.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in finance or accounting required
• 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records

Responsibilities

• Onboard new and reactivated sections to banking and credit card platforms and support section leaders
• Manage section banking and credit card platform issues and fraud tools
• Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records for assigned sections
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules per policies
• Review event registrations, payments, and related financial activity for accuracy
• Prepare recurring financial reports and analyses for section leadership and Finance management
• Support monthly and year-end close activities and reporting
• Assist with budget development, forecasting, and financial planning
• Participate in annual audit activities and respond to auditor requests
• Provide guidance on financial policies, reporting requirements
