Job summary

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in Louisiana and in good standing with the Louisiana Supreme Court.
• Significant experience defending tort litigation with leadership in civil trials.
• Substantive knowledge of the designated section and strong ethics.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient with standard office software including email and databases.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all tort suits against the State and related entities in the designated section.
• Supervise all staff assigned to the section and act as subject matter expert.
• Coordinate defense of medical malpractice claims in reviews and lawsuits.
• Mentor and train employees; maintain regular communication with contract defense counsel.
