The Great Falls Symphony is announcing auditions for two open permanent positions in the Section Cello section. These positions are per-service, with auditions scheduled for September 15, 2026, in Great Falls, Montana. Musicians will have the opportunity to participate in various performances throughout the season, including subscription concerts, a movie in concert, a chamber choir concert, and an education matinee.The compensation for these positions includes a per-service rate of $62, mileage reimbursement at federal rates capped at $200 for in-state and $350 for out-of-state travel, a per diem of $25 per day, and complimentary lodging if required. The audition repertoire includes specific solo and excerpt pieces from notable composers such as Haydn, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Strauss.
