Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a System Admin for a Virginia Beach, VA assignment. The role operates on a Panama day shift (6am–6pm) and focuses on server administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity for enterprise-wide modeling and simulation environments.

You will patch, manage GPOs, DHCP reservations, and STIGs, and you may train junior staff while providing Tier 2 support. Flexibility to adjust duties per business needs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Experience patching Microsoft servers and workstations.
• Familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and defend the security of client and server infrastructure.
• Perform Windows server administration, manage GPOs, DHCP reservations, and patching.
• STIG'ing and documentation via standard operating procedures.
• Train junior personnel and provide Tier 2 technical support.
• Collaborate with teams to adapt duties to business and contract needs.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a System Admin to join one of our clients in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a day shift from 6am-6pm on a Panama schedule. They will be responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services. The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain servers and workstations used throughout the enterprise. Additional duties include performing Microsoft Windows server administration, manage GPOs, create/modify DHCP reservations, patching and STIG'ing, as well as, authoring standard operating procedures, training junior personnel, and performing Tier 2 technical support. Individual must be able to work independently and work within a team. Additionally, position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

Compensation: $38/hr to $43/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
