Job summary

Active SECRET level security clearance or ability to obtain one is required. The role involves travel up to 15% annually, and up to 50% during shipyard years.

Qualifications

• Minimum demonstrated experience as Port Engineer with shipyard dry-dock leadership.
• Experience managing maintenance and repair on ocean-going ships.
• Strong budgeting and contract negotiation skills for multi-million projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation of vessels and cost-effective management of the fleet.
• Supervise day-to-day vessel problems and crew-related issues.
• Ensure operations comply with Safety and Quality Management programs.
• Review vessel reports and respond with comments and corrective actions.
• Maintain familiarity with IIPP and ensure vendor reports are signed by Chief Engineer.
• Inspect maintenance records and manage planned maintenance activities.
