Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking a Logistician to support NIWC Atlantic in Charleston, SC. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and focuses on logistics operations, inventory management, and cost-saving process improvements.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality and safety, testing equipment, drafting CAD plans, and coordinating material movements. Strong communication skills and proficiency with Excel are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related military experience or trade/industrial school graduate.
• Proven ability to solve technical problems (5 years).
• Understanding of engineering concepts and software design/maintenance.
• Clearance: active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
• Test equipment to verify process operation.
• Interpret plans and drawings for test sample fabrication.
• CAD drafting and shop drawings; know material specs and fabrication methods.
• Manage material flow (shipping/receiving/location transfers).
• Maintain inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Review records in inventory systems (GCSS-MC, CMPro).
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Maintain proactive communication with leadership for alignment and decisions.
• Identify and facilitate improvements in logistics functions and cost savings.
