Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data-focused professional to support financial crime investigations and data analysis initiatives in Washington, DC. You will prepare, analyze, and interpret large datasets, applying data science, statistics, and ML techniques to identify trends and investigative leads for AML and illicit finance matters.

As part of a team of investigators and data scientists, you will contribute to analytical products and data-driven insights, with up to 10% travel and an active SECRET

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET security clearance required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Minimum of three years of experience cleaning, transforming, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data analytics libraries to query, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data in large-scale data environments.
• Experience with statistical analysis, ML, anomaly detection, NLP, or related techniques.
• Experience querying data using SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hive, Spark, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, or reports.
• Ability to document methodologies and results clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work from client site in Washington, DC five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support financial crime investigations, enforcement matters, and data analysis initiatives by preparing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets.
• Apply data science, statistical, and analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and investigative leads for AML and illicit finance investigations.
• Collaborate with senior investigators, analysts, and data scientists to contribute to analytical products and data-driven insights.
