Job summary

LMI is seeking a Drone Pilot / Autonomy Test Operator to support a Department of War mission partner on site at Fort Bragg, NC. You will perform tactical FPV flight operations, autonomy testing, and rapid capability iteration with engineers to accelerate fielding of autonomous UAS.

The role requires active Secret clearance and 5+ years of UAS/FPV experience, with the ability to work in austere outdoor environments and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 5+ years of operational UAS/FPV experience.
• Advanced FPV flight proficiency (Acro mode).
• Experience in dynamic or contested environments.
• ADM knowledge and UAS risk management.
• UAS integration, testing, or evaluation experience.
• Willingness to travel (0-25%).

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced FPV and Group 1–2 UAS flight ops in dynamic environments.
• Plan and execute flight test events with data capture.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and repair FPV/UAS systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders; translate feedback.
