Job summary

Patriot Group International LLC. (PGI) is hiring a Cleared Armed Security Officer for the Columbia, MD area. This full-time, non-exempt role supports force protection with a 12-hour Panama Schedule.

Minimum Secret clearance, English fluency, and high school diploma are required, along with Maryland security certifications and weapon handling training. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will enforce access control, monitor surveillance, respond to incidents, and maintain post orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security or 1 year law enforcement experience.
• Minimum 2 years honorable military service in US Armed Forces.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must complete firearms training per Maryland Wear and Carry requirements.
• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and random tests.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain post orders, policies and conduct standards.
• Enforce client and PGI policies including badging, locks, and inspections.
• Provide security protection for personnel and property in area of responsibility.
• Report incidents and respond to alarms per post orders.
• Monitor security cameras and electronic surveillance systems.
• Guide and direct individuals throughout the site.
• Assist in controlling locks and door security and testing access controls.
• Prevent theft of physical or intellectual property.
• Promote security policy awareness to clients, vendors and others.
• Maintain competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity per policies.
• Execute and deliver reports as assigned by Site Manager.
• Complete pre-assignment and sustainment training as directed.
• Assist with armory and security equipment maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
