Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Software Engineer to join Global Surveillance Division, located onsite in Melbourne, Florida. The role requires you to deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve software infrastructure with an emphasis on agile development and collaboration within a diverse team.

The ideal candidate will own hard problems end-to-end, understand the software lifecycle, and apply automated testing to large data sets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or higher; 2+ years in software engineering or Master’s with0+ years.
• Proficient in C/C++ or other OOP languages.
• Experience in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience debugging in desktop and target environments.
• Strong written and spoken communication; teamwork and collaboration.
• Experience with Agile software development and CM tools.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle design, implementation, and unit testing of software.
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems across software systems.
• Design, develop, document, test and debug applications and systems.
• Work with team members to integrate functionality with other components.
• Gather requirements, prototype, and architect complex solutions.
• Support software metrics collection and process improvements.
• Follow program software best practices and lifecycle activities.
