Fort Scott USD 234 is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students with diverse abilities. This role focuses on leading IEP services, collaborating with staff, and maintaining thorough records to monitor progress.
The successful candidate will hold a current Kansas teaching license with the appropriate endorsement and be prepared to work with families to promote positive academic and social outcomes in a supportive school environment.

Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement is required, or applicant would be eligible and willing to pursue a licensure waiver for the position.

Duties for the position: leading IEP teams in delivering of IEP services, completing assessments and reports, managing IEP paperwork, supervision of para staff, assisting and supporting teachers, communicating with parents, leading IEP and team meetings, maintaining adequate records and progress monitoring data as required.
