Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation seeks a Secondary Operator Aerospace in Shelbyville, KY. You will operate bending machines, saws and production equipment to meet work orders, with potential for independent setup after orientation.

Shifts are 2nd shift, 3:00PM–1:30AM, Monday–Thursday. Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.75 per hour, with shift differential. Company offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing software and ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs as needed.
• Ability to work assigned shift and overtime as needed.
• Preferred: experience in machine setup, part inspections and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools, dies and equipment and adjust dies and equipment to produce parts.
• Use computer software to produce tickets and labels.
• Operate equipment following procedures to meet production standards and use measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Keep records and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow instructions for operation of dies and equipment and other jobs as assigned.
• Assist lead to adjust dies, machinery and equipment as needed.
• Perform press set-ups, buffing, packing, bending, deburring, sawing, sorting, reworking, and forklift/crane operations.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $23.75 Annually

We're seeking dependable team members with experience operating bending machines,saws and other production equipment.

Will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to operating saws, benders, and other production equipment to meet customer requirements as specified by work order, blueprints and diagrams of the part. More experienced operators may perform independent setup following orientation and initial training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May set up tools, dies and equipment, and make adjustments in dies and equipment used in producing product.
• Use computer software to produce tickets and labels.
• Operate equipment using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards and uses the necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met.
• Keep all required records and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all verbal and written instructions pertaining to the operation of dies and equipment as well as any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned.
• May require assistance of a lead person to make necessary adjustments to dies, machinery and equipment.
• Perform the following processes: press set-ups and operation, buffing, packing, bending, deburring, sawing, sorting, reworking, helping other operators, operating of fork lift and/or cranes, loading and unloading parts from lines or machines

Shifts: 2nd shift 3:00PM – 1:30AM Monday – Thursday

Earning potential: Starting at $21 up to $23.75/hr. (plus $1.00 shift differential) Secondary II starts at $22.00/hr. to $24.75/hr.

Qualifications:

• One-to-three months related experience, including: manufacturing or similar environment as parts loader/unloader, machine operator and/or part inspector.
• Computer Skills are required - to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software and ability to learn how to new programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 regularly and 75 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work shift assigned and overtime as needed.

Preferred experience: also includes consistent experience in manufacturing performing machine set-up, part inspections and blueprint reading.
