Job summary

EHOB, Inc is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing and warehousing operations on the production floor. You will supervise approximately 80–100 production employees and temporary associates, train staff on equipment use, and ensure safe, efficient material flow.

Job description

PurposeThe Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising day‑to‑day manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate production and material flow. This role provides hands‑on leadership on the production floor, oversees employee training and performance, manages inventory and WMS‑driven workflows, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor works closely with Operations leadership and Human Resources to maintain productivity, quality, and a positive workplace culture.This position is non‑exempt and requires active involvement in floor-level operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Production & Equipment OperationsSet up, operate, and monitor production machines to ensure safe and efficient operation.Assign employees to machines and workstations based on skill and production needs.Train employees on proper machine operation and certify employees upon completion of required training.Demonstrate a working understanding of production scheduling and material requirements.Employee Supervision & Workforce ManagementAssist with the supervision of approximately 80–100 production employees and temporary associates.Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities to meet production and fulfillment goals.Monitor employee performance and productivity; assist with performance evaluations.Support hiring, training, discipline, and termination processes in accordance with company policies and applicable labor laws.Approve time off, address employee concerns, and resolve workplace issues.Partner with Human Resources to promote a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.Warehouse Management System (WMS) ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate production, assembly, picking, packing, receiving, replenishment, material handling, and internal transfers using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).Manage WMS-driven workflows, including work order execution, task assignments, staging, line clearance verification, and order fulfillment.Monitor WMS task queues, dashboards, and workflows to maintain throughput, identify bottlenecks, and ensure scan compliance and operational accuracy.Utilize WMS reports and performance data to track productivity, accuracy, and operational trends.Train and support employees on WMS procedures, handheld devices, and system compliance requirements.Troubleshoot basic system and workflow issues; escalate complex issues to leadership or IT and provide feedback to support system improvements and enhancements.Inventory, Data & Continuous ImprovementMaintain accurate inventory levels and support purchasing activities as needed.Perform daily data entry of production tickets and operational data.Assist with research and development activities related to production processes or equipment.Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with company objectives.Training, Safety & QualityTrain employees on equipment use, safety protocols, and quality standards.Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules and quality requirements.Promote consistent execution of procedures and best practices across the production floor.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 10+ years as a team leader, related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CompetenciesCommunication: Effectively communicate to internal and external business partners by sharing expertise to encourage accomplishment of shared business goals.Teamwork and Collaboration: Actively support and collaborate with peers and team members to contribute to overall company success.Knowledge: Display knowledge of department, applicable products, services and business objectives.
