Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience.
• Experience in an ISO-certified quality environment.
• Prior manufacturing supervision experience.
• Experience creating written procedures and instructions.
• Ability to actively resolve customer product issues.
• Production and inventory scheduling experience.
• MS Office familiarity; SAP experience is a plus.
• Safety-compliance knowledge; OSHA 10/30 is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to take on added responsibility in a second-shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspire trust and lead the team to meet goals and deadlines.
• Oversee production scheduling, and adjust staffing including overtime.
• Determine work procedures and expedite workflow.
• Maintain production-planning systems knowledge.
• Supervise quality procedures and training on quality programs.
• Enforce safety rules and conduct monthly safety inspections.
• Perform hands-on production duties as needed.
• Develop process plans covering people, resources, and equipment.
• Coordinate with planning to meet shipment dates.
• Drive continuous-improvement programs like 5S/Lean, and cross-train staff.
• Analyze and resolve problems while fostering a positive team environment.
• Ensure inputs from engineering/sales/manufacturing are accurate.
