The role focuses on maximizing machine efficiency and reducing downtime, with a 3:30 PM to 2 AM schedule and a 10% shift premium.

You will mentor Apprentices, read manuals, and work with CMMS to track parts and work orders, while maintaining safety and quality on the knitting floor.

Qualifications

• Skilled with hand and power tools and able to disassemble machines for part replacement.
• Able to read repair manuals and parts catalogs to service equipment.
• Experience performing routine preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork; willing to mentor apprentices.
• Commitment to safety and keeping work areas clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance to keep machinery at high efficiency.
• Diagnoses and repairs machine malfunctions with minimal support.
• Reads equipment manuals to understand operation and maintenance.
• Mentors apprentices and helps minimize machine downtime.
• Uses CMMS to track parts life and complete work orders.
• Maintains safety procedures and participates in monthly safety trainings.
• Keeps knitting machines clean and well maintained; supports finishing dept.
• Assists in training and growing technical skills toward Journeyman 2.
