Job summary

Hydro, Inc. is a global pump reengineering leader headquartered in Chicago. We seek a Machine Shop Lead to run the 2nd shift in our aftermarket pump repair shop and drive efficient use of resources and equipment.

The candidate will oversee shop floor processes, coordinate with other departments, ensure safety, and report progress to the Shop Manager. Strong supervisory experience and machining background are essential for timely, high-quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervising machinists, mechanics and shop staff.
• Able to plan shop activities and meet customer deadlines.
• Strong leadership, safety discipline and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee aftermarkets pump repair shop operations on 2nd shift.
• Coordinate with assembly, inspection and weld shop personnel.
• Provide status reports and ensure on-time delivery of jobs.
• Enforce safety guidelines and train team members.
• Address emergency weekend work and maintain material readiness.
