Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Harrison, OH is hiring for General Production on the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM, M-F with potential Saturday overtime). You will be on a refrigerated production floor, stacking pallets and assisting with production duties, with a $1.00 shift differential on the 2nd shift.

All applicants must be at least 18 and capable of repetitive, physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working with meat products. Benefits include health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical labor including repetitive overhead lifting up to 60 lbs
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in cold environments (~38 F)
• High attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced production setting
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays when required

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and equipment to process meat products
• Stack pallets of finished product (up to 17 lbs) and assist with sanitation/cleanup
• Work on a refrigerated production floor and adhere to safety protocols
