Job summary

Monti, Inc. is seeking a Dry Mill Operator to run CNC machinery, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep accurate production records. The role involves setting up machines, monitoring for defects, and ensuring materials meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Starts, stops, and sets up machines in a safe manner.
  • Operates the machine, watching for defects or issues.
  • Uses measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs quality checks on material condition.
  • Verifies material type before cutting.
  • Replaces wear parts, adds lubricants, and adjusts equipment for set-ups.
  • Operates forklift and crane.
  • Packs and transports finished pieces as needed.
  • Completes paperwork accurately.
  • Maintains 6S standards in all work stations.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary:

The Dry Mill Operator will produce machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; and keeping records

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Starts, stops, and sets up machines in a safe manner.
  • Operates the machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues.
  • Uses measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Completes quality checks to verify condition of material.
  • Verifies type of material before cutting.
  • Replace wearable parts, change/add lubricants, adjust equipment for various set-ups.
  • Operates forklift and crane.
  • Helps pack and transport finished pieces as needed.
  • Accurately completes paperwork.
  • Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic math skills (ex. addition, subtraction, multiplication, converting fractions to decimals, converting standard measurements to metric system, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical inclination.
Abilities:
  • Read a tape measure and other measurement tools.
  • Must have prior industrial machine operator experience.
  • Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Work well with others on a team.
  • Follow instructions and processes.
  • Solve problems quickly and efficiently.

  • Willingness to be trained by supervisor.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to have performance measured daily.
Preferred Education And Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
  • Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
  • Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
  • Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.
