Job summary

Interstate PowerSystems is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for the second shift, specializing in Freightliner and Detroit Diesel products. The mechanic will perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL (Class A or B) preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.

Skills

Proficient in diagnostic tools

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems

Ability to read technical manuals

Excellent problem-solving skills

Education

ASE certifications (T2‑T8 series preferred)
