Job summary

County of Blair in Hollidaysburg, PA is seeking a full-time custodian for the second shift (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.), with Thursdays and Fridays off as the weekend.

The hire will perform all aspects of cleaning, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of County buildings and grounds to ensure a neat, orderly, and safe work environment and a positive public impression. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, offices, public areas, bathrooms, and windows; removing trash; floor care; light bulb replacement;

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Available to work extended shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must sustain physical demands of active position, able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean meeting rooms, offices, public areas, bathrooms.
• Remove recyclables and trash; dust, mop, sanitize, scrub, sweep surfaces.
• Vacuum, shampoo, strip, wax, buff floors; wash ceilings, walls, windows.
• Replace light bulbs and batteries; maintain supplies in dispensers.
• Set up and tear down meeting facilities; load/unload deliveries; distribute deliveries; run errands; sort mail.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs; snow and ice removal; respond to off-hours calls.
