Job summary

Anomatic in New Albany, OH, is hiring an Automation Technician for the second shift to maintain continuous operation of automated process equipment on the production floor.

Responsibilities include machine changeovers, jam clearance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and documenting changes. Candidates should read schematics, use measuring tools, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 120VAC control circuits, 24VDC control circuits, and industrial power levels.
• Experience with PLCs and VFD controlled machinery is required.
• Proficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components.
• Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
• Must have and maintain power tools and measuring equipment.
• Computer proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends on short notice.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine changeovers from part-to-part or job-to-job.
• Clear machine jams and perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot product and machine issues (metal and plastic) and adjust as needed.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic issues and repair as required.
• Adjust robot positions, jog, and troubleshoot errors.
• Document all changes to machines, fixtures or tooling per Manufacturing Engineering.
• Maintain inventory for spare parts and document equipment history in system.
• Communicate shift status and issues with production and supervisors.
