Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a quality-oriented inspector to join our manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, UT. You will visually, dimensionally, and functionally inspect components and finished medical devices to ensure they meet design specs.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm–2:30am with a 10% shift differential. Responsibilities include testing with automated and manual equipment, documenting results, and adhering to SOPs and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to use inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and finished medical devices.
  • Perform functional testing using automated and manual valve testing equipment.
  • Follow work instructions and SOPs; document device history records.

Your work will involve you optimizing product development to impact patients around the world with pioneering technology.Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30amPay rate: $19.98/hr (you will receive an additional 10% for working 2nd shift)How you'll make an impact:• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeepingWhat you'll need (required):• H.S.
