Job Title: 2nd Shift Assembler

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States

Job Type: Permanent, On‑site

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctions and provide preventive and corrective maintenance for site equipment.
• Suggest actions for improvement and enhance reliability.
• Update the CMMS by entering maintenance operation reports.
• Follow the procedures and rules for health and safety.

Requirements

• Retrieve and study assembly instructions, detailed part prints, assembly layouts and parts lists.
• Gather parts/units, tools and/or material from inventory using a supplied material list.
• Prepare parts prior to assembly, including small‑sized unit assembly work.
• Work with engineering/supervision to identify issues and formulate corrective actions to assure product quality.
• Test precision units and validate quality specifications are achieved.
• Assemble machines/units to current assembly procedures, layouts and parts lists.
• Perform horizontal and vertical straightness and flatness checks.
• Check squaring and parallelism.
• Use feeler gauges, dial indicators, Vernier calipers, gage blocks, mechanical gauges, autocollimator.
• Use small hand tools (taps, reamers, files, etc.) for assembly process.
• Use power tools, both air and electrically powered, for assembly process including drill press, sanders, and grinders.
• Perform machine set‑up/verification of customer order specifications by inspection and/or measuring.
• Perform dimensional geometric checkouts of larger units or sub‑assemblies on granite.
