Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector I on the Production Floor (Second Shift) in Long Beach, CA. You will inspect propulsion components and large structures, using precision tools, and help improve quality across design, manufacturing and test teams.

This second-shift role runs 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m. PT with a 50-hour week and 10 hours overtime. Competent MRB handling, strong communication, and physical stamina are required for successful inspections and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision hand tools: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges.
• Ability to collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing and production teams.
• Perform thorough inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Clear and effective communicator interfacing with inspectors, engineers and production staff.
• MRB processes experience including disposition of non-conforming hardware; stand for long periods; climb ladders; lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections on propulsion components, large structures and assemblies.
• Perform dimensional inspections on flight hardware using precision tools.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Review hardware requirements and document pass/fail status and non-conformances.
• Capture closeout photos of assemblies after final walkdowns.
• Perform FOD inspections using borescopes on machined parts and cavities.
