Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a Seattle, WA assignment. The role entails assisting surgeons, monitoring the patient, and providing pre/postoperative education. 13-week travel tour with 40 hours weekly on 10-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care OR experience (circulating or scrub) and current BLS; additional certifications may be required. Expect responsibilities across OR duties and patient care during perioperative phases.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating or scrub OR nurse.
• Travel assignment readiness with 13 weeks duration and 40 hours weekly.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR nursing care and assist physicians in the operating room.
• Assist with pre- and post-surgery education for patients.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for procedures; monitor patient during surgery.
• Maintain patient safety and communication with family.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols.
