Job summary

Porter is seeking a Barista in Downtown Seattle to craft and serve outstanding coffee beverages while educating customers about Onyx Coffee's sourcing and flavors. You’ll be the café face, creating memorable experiences for each guest.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in customer-facing roles, be at least 21, and be comfortable working nights/holidays. The role offers hourly pay ($22–$24) plus tips and a benefits package including PTO, holidays, insurance, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years in a customer-facing role, preferably hospitality or food service.
• CA Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Training in food preparation, service skills, and customer service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, customizing orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers in partnership with Onyx coffee.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Stocks supplies and maintains sanitation across equipment and work areas.
• Maintain friendly, engaging service and handle POS transactions accurately.
