Job summary

Utz Brands, Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a Seasoning Machine Operator for the 1st Shift (Mon-Thu, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM) to ensure products are seasoned to perfection in a fast-paced facility.

You will operate seasoning equipment, monitor quality, perform basic maintenance, and assist with schedules while adhering to food safety and safety protocols. This role offers opportunities within a growing snacking company and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery and basic equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Ability to monitor equipment and production to meet quality standards.
• Capability to multitask while staying efficient and focused.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs during duties.
• Strong verbal and written communication to keep the team informed.
• Quick thinker capable of responding to changes and issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust seasoning equipment to meet product specifications.
• Monitor seasoning and troubleshoot equipment to ensure quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs to keep production moving.
• Handle sensitive seasoning products and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Follow safety protocols and manage allergens as required.
• Assist with production schedules and communicate with the team for smooth operations.
• Fill in for other operators and help train new team members.
• Ensure areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized per company standards.
• Suggest improvements to processes and production efficiency.

As a Seasoning Machine Operator for 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM), you’ll help ensure our products are seasoned to perfection while working in a modern, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust seasoning equipment to meet product specifications.
• Ensure product quality by monitoring seasoning and troubleshooting equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with repairs to keep production moving smoothly.
• Handle sensitive seasoning products (including allergens) carefully and follow all safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Follow safety protocols, including handling sensitive ingredients and allergens.
• Assist with production schedules, communicate with team members, and ensure smooth operations.
• Fill in for other operators when necessary and assist with training new team members as needed.
• Ensure that all areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to company standards and procedures.
• Suggest improvements for processes and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience operating machinery, performing equipment maintenance, and using general mechanical tools (like Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Ability to carefully monitor and inspect equipment and production to meet quality standards.
• Able to handle several tasks simultaneously while staying efficient and focused.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. as part of regular duties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to keep the team well-informed and operations running smoothly.
• Quick thinker who can respond to changes and resolve issues as they arise.
