Job summary

A leading construction contractor in Georgia is seeking an experienced carpenter to read blueprints, configure construction layouts, and assemble materials. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and installing structures, as well as ensuring safety standards. Three years of carpentry experience preferred. The position demands teamwork, knowledge of construction techniques, and effective communication skills. Competitive pay and possible overtime offered.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of proven construction carpentry experience required.
• Current OSHA 10 or MSHA Certification preferred.
• Industrial machine licenses (e.g., a forklift license) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Coordinates with job site Superintendent/Foreman to configure construction lay out.
• Assembles and secures forms, wood structures, sheet metal, and other materials.

Skills

Knowledge of carpentry techniques

Knowledge of basic mathematics

Education

Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program
