H&R Block is hiring a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with a range of tax needs, supported by an expert team. You’ll conduct interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS guidance while growing client relationships.

Franchise offices handle hiring; enrollment in H&R Block tax course or tax knowledge assessment is not a guarantee of employment. This role requires a CPA/EA or pursuing certification and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification or enrollment in progress.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
