The Fulton County Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for a classified position. The starting salary is $63,000.00 per year.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, plus two years of law enforcement experience with full arrest powers, and must obtain POST certification and a Georgia driver’s license. Expect a comprehensive pre-employment process including psychological testing, agility, polygraph, drug screening, and background checks.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; supplemented by two years of experience in Law Enforcement agency with full arrest powers.
• Equivalent education, training, and experience accepted as long as the knowledge, skills and abilities are met.
• Must possess POST certification and a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsabilidades

• Enforces all applicable codes, ordinances, laws and regulations to protect life and property, prevent crime, and promote security.
• Patrols designated areas by motor vehicle or on foot to detect and deter criminal activity and traffic violations.
• Responds to calls relayed by dispatchers, including domestic disputes, abuse, assaults, burglaries, thefts, fatalities, and accidents.
• Apprehends, arrests and processes criminals, fugitives and offenders as appropriate; assists in booking inmates.
• Conducts preliminary investigations; interviews victims, complainants and witnesses and takes statements.
