Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Mechanical Express Specialist to perform a variety of repairs and keep our fleet at peak performance. You will use U-Haul tools and processes to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, and electrical systems.

The role emphasizes strong diagnostic skills, quick thinking, reliability, and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment. U-Haul offers training programs (Ford, GMC) and a path for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Able to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, differential and electrical issues.
• Proven ability to follow work orders and complete repairs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.
• Follow work-order directions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Determine causes of operating errors and implement fixes.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.

Mechanic Primary Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.

• Clearly identify and professionally express issues in positive or negative situations.
• Continued U-Haul equipment education is required.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.

Mechanic Minimum Qualifications
