FirstCall Mechanical seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Dallas, TX. The role demands diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and installing or replacing components with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should possess an active EPA refrigerant certification, OSHA 10, and a valid driver’s license, with 5+ years in a commercial HVAC environment and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• : 5+ years in commercial HVAC service with hands-on diagnosis and repair.
• Experience maintaining 15-ton+ systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment in commercial settings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and perform part replacements as needed.
• Install new units and retrofit existing systems per specifications.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure clear expectations and updates.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment, for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs with no mistakes/callbacksPerform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 unitsRepair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controlsService and troubleshooting mini-splits and/or replacing smaller RTU’s and mini-splits for 15 tons or lessCommunicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobsMaintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customersProvide elite customer service to every customer encounteredACCOUNTABILITIESContinual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industryElite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC needsORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENTThis position reports to the local Service Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all of our customers.Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving recordActive EPA Certification5+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC settingOSHA 10 CertificationManufacturer Certification is preferredAvailable to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsBEHAVIORAL PROFILELanguage SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
