National Park Service in Acadia National Park, Maine seeks a Youth Conservation Corps Crew Leader (Seasonal) to guide teen crews, ensure safety, and foster positive group dynamics. The position is part of Seasonal Staffing Office - Admin Division with a March-July 2027 entry on duty and a defined season through September 2027.

Qualifications

• Submit legible unofficial transcripts with applicant name and school details.
• If using foreign credentials, show evaluation confirming equivalence or credit.
• Official transcripts required only if selected for the position.

Responsabilités

• Lead work crews of eight teenagers with direction and instruction on tasks, tool use, safety measures, Leave No Trace principles, conflict resolution, and by building a positive group dynamic and maintaining group motivation.
• Maintains a safe work environment for self, coworkers, enrollees, and visitors through active hazard and accident prevention, mitigation, and education.
• Teaches interactive Resource Education lessons to youth crews; and assists with planning and leading recreation activities for enrollees. Responsible for enrollees adherence to park rules and regulations, and assisting with mitigating conflict and problem solving within the program.
• Actively communicates with co-lead, Coordinator, and other Crew Leaders to maintain a cohesive AYCC program.
