Job summary

Berco Redwood/Berry Lumber, Inc. in the United States (Sacramento area) is seeking a Yard Associate to receive, stock, prepare and load building materials safely and accurately. You will support daily yard and warehouse operations, including forklift operation, order fulfillment, inventory control, and yard maintenance.

This role involves customer interaction, safe work practices, and occasional training of staff. The position offers potential to convert to full-time status for top performers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Prior yard/warehouse/construction experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and in compliance with safety policies.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition against paperwork.
• Stock, stage, and organize materials in yard, rack, and warehouse locations.
• Pull, prepare, and load customer orders and delivery orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload company and vendor trucks; assist customers in locating materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of yard, bays, racks, and staging areas.
