Job summary

Woodland School District 50 is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach at Woodland Middle School to lead the wrestling program, conduct practices, organize competitions and ensure safety and sportsmanship.

The role is a part-time stipend position with duties including scheduling, supervision, and liaison with administration, parents and community. A valid Illinois teaching license or approved coaching certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have wrestling and coaching experience, CPR/First Aid, concussion certification and USA Wrestling NCEP certification.
• High School Diploma required.
• Head wrestling coach must be licensed or completed coaching class as per Illinois requirements.

Responsibilities

• Submit application for extra duty position and obtain administrative approval.
• Lead and supervise practices and competitions with safety and discipline.
• Plan and conduct tryouts; schedule games and transportation; maintain equipment and uniforms.
• Enforce school rules and ensure student safety at all times.
• Provide written annual report on activities and outcomes.
