Job summary

Summerset Marine Construction is seeking a Seasonal Laborer in Madison, WI to support the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and boat lifts along lakeshore areas.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, operate hand and power tools, and assist with barge operations while following strict safety protocols. A valid driver’s license and ability to swim are required, with CPR/first aid a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to swim and comfort around water.
• Experience in marine or construction environment is a plus.
• CPR and first aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and marine structures.
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute materials and equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools; maintain and store tools properly.
• Perform routine checks on small boats and assist with barge operations.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures at jobsites.
• Prepare sites by removing debris and waste materials from boats and waterways.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
