Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Operation Christmas Child program during mid-November to mid-December. You will work in a team to process shoebox gifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and supervise/assist volunteers.

The role is temporary/seasonal with shifts on the 1st and 2nd shifts. Candidates should be able to team up with staff and volunteers to steward the ministry and ensure efficient processing of gifts.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and move 50 lbs consistently during shift.
• Must be a team player.
• Experience with inventory and pallet jack.
• Familiarity with trucking and/or container inventory requirements.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning.

Responsibilities

• Process OCC shoebox gifts as part of the warehouse team.
• Welcome, equip, and coach volunteers.
• Work with staff and volunteers to fulfill program goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Warehouse Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Work side by side with employees and volunteers to take the love of Jesus to children all around the world
• Play an integral part in the processing of over 12 million shoebox gifts
• Welcome, equip, and coach thousands of volunteers to process OCC shoebox gifts
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

• Able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. (consistently over a 7-8 hour shift if a dock worker)
• Must be a team player
• Inventory and pallet jack experience
• Familiarity with trucking and/or container inventory requirements
• Familiarity with barcode scanning
