Job summary

Scholastic is seeking a Part Time Seasonal Warehouse Associate to support book fair preparation at our Deer Park, NY facility. Schedule typically runs Monday–Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am with potential extra hours. Pay is $18.50 per hour.

The role includes holidays, a 50% merchandise discount, and a 401(k) plan. Responsibilities include packing book fair materials, assisting with inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player capable of collaborating with co-workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to read English safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of book fairs by packing cases, boxes, and displays to meet standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing components for all cases and displays.
• Meet minimum production, accuracy, and quality standards for tasks performed.
• Ensure outbound cases and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Process returned items by un packing and repacking per procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels to support proper packing of book fairs.
• Learn basic scanner use for item inquiries and replenishment of pick locations.
• Assist in picking and packing customer reorders.
• Keep the work area neat, clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Participate in seasonal inventory resets and warehouse events.
