Job summary

Kohl's is hiring for a Material Handler in New York. You will prepare, process and move merchandise accurately, safely, and efficiently, with cross-training across departments to support operations. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and weekend rotations.

Starting pay is 19.00 per hour plus 0.75 shift differential. Benefits and overtime may apply as per policy. Candidates should be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process merchandise, including picking, packing, preparing, shipping orders and returns and loading and unloading trailers.
• Input data to prepare reports.
• Provide high-quality internal and external customer service, including communicating with vendors, associates and locations to resolve disputes and review compliance.
• Promote a safe work environment by following all safety rules and reporting violations.
• Comply with all company policies and guidelines related to accuracy and productivity.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to dress code.
• Maintain flexible schedule and work any designated shift and overtime as needed.

Hiring For Full-Time shifts! Available Shift Details:

1st Shift: Tuesday - Friday 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Weekend Shift: 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM Sunday - Monday & Saturday

About the Role

As a Material Handler, you will prepare, process and move merchandise productively, safely, and accurately according to established production rates, standards and guidelines. You will be cross-trained to perform various functions in different departments to support business and operational needs.

What You’ll Do

• Receive and process merchandise, including picking, packing, preparing, shipping orders and returns and loading and unloading trailers
• Input data to prepare reports
• Provide high-quality internal and external customer service, including communicating with vendors, associates and locations to resolve disputes and review compliance
• To promote a safe work environment, follow all company, state, local and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations; promptly report any potential violations to the appropriate supervisor or manager
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, including those related to accuracy and productivity
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company and comply with dress code requirements
• Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs

• Required Proficiency in English sufficient to understand and follow rules, training, and instructions necessary for operational safety and efficiency.

Pay Range

$19.00 - $27.55
