Wayfair's Fort Myers warehouse is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help move furniture and orders safely and efficiently. You will be cross-trained across fulfillment functions, from inbound receipt to final-mile deliveries.

Qualifications

• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift and work an 8+ hour shift in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Ability to frequently lift and move merchandise up to 75+ lbs unassisted.
• Able to read and comprehend English to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Preferred experience in warehouse/logistics; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic ability to use computers, tablets, and handheld inventory devices.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move furniture orders and inventory of various sizes.
• Use scanners and warehouse software to track and locate inventory.
• Perform quality control tasks, including inspecting, repackaging, labeling, and sorting products.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, organized 5S work area.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

• Handling & Movement: Safely load, unload, and move large and small furniture orders and inventory of various sizes. This will involve manually lifting items up to 75 lbs. unassisted and maneuvering/team lifting products up to 150 lbs.
• Technology & Inventory: Utilize scanners, handheld devices (e.g., Nexus), and warehouse software to accurately track, process, and update inventory and order locations across all operational stages.
• Quality & Preparation: Perform comprehensive quality control tasks, which may include inspecting, assembling (deluxing), repackaging, labeling, and sorting products to prevent damage before shipping.
• Safety & Teamwork: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S) to ensure safety and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• Physical Capability:
  • The ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work a full shift (8+ hours a day) in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • The ability to frequently lift and move merchandise up to 75+ lbs. unassisted.
• Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.
• Experience (Preferred): Previous warehouse, logistics, or comparable experience is preferred. A High School Diploma or GED is also preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic ability to use computers, tablets, and handheld inventory devices is essential.
