Qualifications

• Coaching experience in track and field or strong athlete background preferred.
• Knowledge of track and field events, training techniques, and conditioning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in planning and implementing training sessions, practice schedules, and competition strategies.
• Provide instruction and support to student-athletes in various track events, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Organize and supervise team practices, meets, and events per school policies.
• Assist in recruitment and retention of student-athletes, promoting participation in track and field.
• Monitor progress and performance, giving constructive feedback to improve skills.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Communicate with head coach, parents, and athletes about expectations, schedules, and updates.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including equipment inventory and record-keeping.
