Job summary

Student Quarters Community is seeking a Seasonal, on-site team member to support maintenance and customer service at our campus-adjacent properties. Duties include upkeep of clubhouse and amenity areas, trash-out of vacant units, furniture handling, and routine unit inspections.

Responsibilities span light maintenance tasks, painting touch-ups, and outdoor grounds upkeep, with daily coordination with the maintenance team to preserve curb appeal.

Qualifications

• No specific level of education required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Trash out vacant units.
• Move/install or replace unit furniture.
• Check and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Check and replace filters as needed.
• Perform touch up paints for vacant and partially occupied units.
• Ensure apartments have been properly caulked and sealed around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspect exterior grounds and buildings including breezeways daily.
• Sweep, blow, and/or pressure wash breezeways, parking lots and common areas.

Company Student Quarters Community University Edge Reports To General Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Job Type Seasonal On site Compensation 17 per hour Role & Responsibilities Maintain an excellent customer service relationship Work with the maintenance team to ensure excellent curb appeal at all times Assist in the daily upkeep and cleanliness of office clubhouse and amenity areas Trash out vacant units Move install or replace unit furniture Check and replace light bulbs as needed Check and replace filters as needed Performs touch up paints for vacant and partially occupied units Ensures apartments have been properly caulked and sealed as needed around windows sink areas toilets bathtubs and showers Work with the maintenance team to finish unit inspections Inspect exterior grounds and buildings including breezeways daily Pick up trash on grounds Run trash compactor daily including weekends as scheduled Clean mailbox area daily Water flowers plants and shrubs as needed Maintain painting of curbs and speed bumps Sweep blow and or pressure wash breezeways parking lots and common areas Keep storm drains free of debris Deliver andor post correspondence newsletters and flyers Assist in the performance of all other turn events Perform additional duties as directed Adhere to the company policies and dress code

Physical Activities

• Position requires employees to be able to use general cleaning equipment and tools included but not limited to hand tools paint equipment ladders cleaning chemicals vacuums blowers and hoses
• Requires lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds when lifting trash bags and grounds keeping equipment as well as when assisting maintenance personnel with essential maintenance tasks including but not limited to installing outside air conditioning units
• Position requires frequent bending andor stooping when removing debris and trash from property grounds and performing other grounds keeping and maintenance tasks
• Requires the use of ladders and stepladders to access equipment and when assisting maintenance personnel with essential maintenance tasks
• Requires the ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and the ability to personally perform general grounds keeping and maintenance tasks without endangering themselves residents and other employees
