Job summary

Micro Center in St. Louis Park, MN is seeking a Seasonal Retail Customer Service Representative and Cashier.

You’ll engage with customers at the point of sale, help keep the store welcoming, and support day-to-day operations in a fast-paced tech-focused environment. This role requires a customer-first mindset, clear communication, and the ability to multitask during busy periods, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset with a genuine interest in creating positive customer experiences.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to assist multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the store for the duration of each shift.
• Requires frequent manual lifting and carrying of objects up to 10 lbs, and occasional manual lifting of 11–75 lbs (and rarely up to 100 lbs).
• Frequent use of manual tools including dollies and carts and repetitive keyboard operation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service at the point of sale, ensuring a smooth checkout experience and fostering customer loyalty.
• Ensure that customer service standards are met and that difficult customer situations are handled courteously and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department through replenishment, cycle counts, and merchandising support.
• Recommend and sell appropriate service plans.
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
• Support overall store operations by promoting loss prevention awareness, assisting with basic office functions, and helping prepare for physical inventory.
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures to meet company standards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
