• Contact clients by phone or email to gather necessary information.
• Review files to ensure signatures and supporting documentation, and compliance with filing due dates.
• Obtain proper filing extensions when necessary.
• Perform detailed review on tax returns with emphasis on calculations, accounting theory, and tax law compliance.
• Maintain technical tax skills through training and sessions.
• Conduct complex tax research and stay current on tax laws.
• Assist clients with tax planning and business strategy.
• Provide training and supervision to junior members.
