You'll work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with an incentive plan tied to performance as you build tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and apply tax implications.
• Deliver personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
