Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for a local, in-person seasonal role. You will prepare complete returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews to understand finances, and offer personalized tax-saving guidance and product recommendations.

You will deliver accurate filings, provide IRS support as needed, and help build lasting client relationships while leveraging our training and technology to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and business clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office.
